Dave Underwood, P.E.

Dave Underwood joined the Browning Reserve Group (BRG) to provide Engineering analysis when needed.  He has been involved with the construction industry since 1986, municipal and industrial water systems since 1994 and elected to fill a vacancy for the Fair Oaks Water District Board of Directors in 2014.

He holds California Civil Engineering license C57698 and a degree in Civil Engineering from California State University Sacramento (1994). When not evaluating infrastructure for BRG, Dave currently works as the Senior Engineer overseeing the regulatory, asset management, and operations engineering section for the Sacramento County Water Agency since 2001.  The SCWA owns and operates over 50 wells and 13 water treatment plants serving nearly 180,000 people in the City of Elk Grove, City of Rancho Cordova, and portions of the unincorporated Sacramento County.

Dave has served as President of the Sacramento Water Works Association, the SAWWA Education Committee Chair, and SAWWA Security Committee Chair. He also served as the 2004 Local Conference Committee Chair for the CA/NV American Water Works Association. Dave was a contributing author and presenter for the paper, Diverse Perspectives within a Successful Water Recycling Program published in 2008 by the Water Reuse Association.
